Moving at the Speed of Creativity
Wesley A. Fryer is a teacher, author, speaker, and the Director of Technology for Casady School in Oklahoma City. Along with his many extracurricular learning opportunities, he also created a blog titled "Moving at the Speed of Creativity". The website, listed above, provides a wide variety of different resources, tools, books, and videos to help teachers better equipped their students with technology. The manner in which Mr. Fryer uses the technology could be helpful in any classroom. He uses the technology to better understand his students, what they know, and what do they want to show and tell the world.
The blog portion within "Moving at the Speed of Creativity" ranges between a lot of different topics. He comments on preferences between ChromeBook or Mac, how to upload a video on YouTube using your iPhone, or reflecting on comments such as Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin. The range of different comments can help teachers from all around the world with all of the problems they have, big or small. Even if a teacher doesn't have a problem, this blog can give teachers new ideas on technology or different periods of conversation by updating them on issues of education around the world. This blog is extremely helpful to all teachers whether they come from a technologically have a background or have no idea how to work a computer. Wesley Fryer also provides links to his social media, workshop videos, and provides information on all of his books with in the blog site. This is extremely helpful and resourcefull use of the website and provides further knowledge to teachers.
Overall, I think this blog was extremely creative, useful, well organized, and easy to use. It provided a lot of information in an effective manner rather than overwhelming the visitor with too much information. Fryer put relevant information into different sections and made specific information quite easy to find. The blog was also colorful and creative while also not being too overwhelming or hard to read. It showed that simplicity in the layout can cause the visitor to focus on the material provided. The passages, links, and videos were interesting and insightful. I believe that "Moving at the Speed of Creativity" can be beneficial to teachers all around the world and should be utilized as such!
